About Me

I joined the Coast guard in april 1974 and after basic I was stationed on the Boutwell, my first 378. Then I was sent to Florida for qm am signalman schools. I was sent to the Sherman in Jan of 1975 and served on the sherman for a year and a half until July 1976. After my service in the Coast Guard I joined The Operating engineers union and was a heavy equiptment operator for 35 years. I am now retired

Hey jack, remember you on the Sherman, I was a RM3 at the
Time. Remember Bob Gonsalves ? Crazy bastard. Had some good times.
Boston was a great town to be stationed in, when we were able to
Spend time there. Enjoy your retirement.

Hello Jack,
A fellow QM shipmate here. I left the Sherman at the end of 1976 and spent two seasons breaking ice on a WYTM, the Ojibwa, on the Great Lakes.
