Another Sherman Graphic for your viewing pleasure! .. I haven't been drawing daily as I desire .. "life" keeps diverting my plans!
The inspiration for panel is taken from a personal journal entry by crew member BM2 Jack Schneider. Jack served his entire enlistment on the Sherman and he kept a log from the day he enlisted to the day he was discharged 4 years later - Amazing dedication! Wish I was that consistent! ... Thank you Jack for giving me permission to refer to your log book entries for all the Sherman's assignments, dates and locations.
I do most of my artwork with my Ipad Pro and the new Apple pencil in an application "Procreate" I then save the artwork to my main computer and use a program "Comic Life" to format frame and add text to the drawing. I should rethink my workflow and goals .. Typical for me, instead of a simple drawing to tell the story and move on, each of my drawings takes on a life of its own and becomes a little work of art that I lavish hours on! A this rate I'll take years to finish my proposed "Ships Story" .. But I love the process!
